Town of Mundare Finance Department Property Tax Bills

Property tax & assessment notices will be mailed by June, with a payment deadline of July 31. A ten per cent penalty (10%) is added after July 31 to any unpaid balance.

If you do not receive your tax bill by the first week in July, please e-mail us at reception@mundare.ca. Please include your name, property address, daytime phone number, and correct mailing address.

Non-receipt of your property tax bill does not exempt you from penalty due to late payment.

Important Reminders

Your property tax bill covers the period from January 1 to December 31.

Property taxes are due  in full by July 31.

A late penalty charge of 10%  is added to current taxes outstanding after this date, and if taxes are still outstanding by January 1, a further 10% penalty is applied to the balance..

If you are a current Tax Instalment Payment Plan (TIPP) participant, no payment is required at this time.

If you are mailing your payment, please allow ample time for your payment to be postmarked by Canada Post on or before the due date.

Enclose the stub portion of your bill with your cheque.

Record your tax roll number or property address on your cheque.

Terms and Conditions

A Canada Post postmark will be honored as payment date. If the postmark is absent or illegible, the date received by Town of Mundare will be considered the payment date.

Property Tax Monthly Instalment Payment Plan

You can arrange for a monthly tax instalment payment program. To qualify, all prior years' taxes must be paid in full by December 31 of the prior year. For more details contact the Town Office.

Cheques not honored by your financial institution will be subject to applicable charges and may result in termination of the plan.

Property Tax Discounts

The town of Mundare will give a 5% discount on prepaid municipal property taxes. To qualify your account must be in good standing and payment must be made by January 31.
